The Valle delle Ferriere is a magical, lush valley that takes you through a pristine natural
landscape filled with history and beauty. The trail winds its way through dense forest
crystal-clear streams, and past ancient ruins of watermills, once used to process iron.
These mills, which were powered by the water flowing through the valley, are a testame
to the region’s industrial past. Today, the valley is a protected natural reserve, and the trail
offers a peaceful escape into the heart of nature.
The dense vegetation is home to
variety of rare plants, including some species of ferns that are found only in this area. The
path leads to beautiful waterfalls, quiet pools, and shaded groves, creating a tranquil
atmosphere that makes it one of the most serene hikes in the region. The trail is moderate
in difficulty, making it accessible to most hikers, and is a perfect way to experience
Amalfi Coast’s natural beauty in a more intimate setting.
